So glad you found a new roost to nest in Anne. Some of us hate change- even more as we age- so my 💜goes out to you.

Love the bird observations. I recently put up the bird feeder that used to be outside mom’s memory care. Even tho she’s with God, I think her birds found her feeder at my house 🐦‍⬛

Great post!

Enjoyed reading your post again, and, always do since I found you or rather you found me. I’ve lived in my current apartment going on four years now and it may be my final home. I’m on the ground floor and my windows look out to part of Valley Forge Park. I feed the birds, and have been for the four years I’ve lived here. I’ve always been a bird feeder, the mixtures of colors are beautiful. Cardinals sparrows bluejays mourning doves. I know I’ve written about this, but you’ve brought it to my mind again. Thank you for sharing Ann!❤️

It sounds beautiful….you gathering the birds ❤️. Cardinals…we have not been gifted with them in the Pacific NW. reminds me of the Mary Oliver poetry collection “Red Bird”.

This is a wonderful reflection. I love watching birds, and it's so natural to wonder about what "home" means to them!

Oh, I’m so glad to hear that you quickly found a new nest! I always learn so much from nature. Now that my kids are at the age where they don’t like just to hang out in the wilderness I don’t get to visit the wilderness as often as I would like. But in regards to what nature is teaching me, it’s definitely forcing me out of the underground faster than I would like. I’d prefer to just germinate under the soil a little bit longer, but no, spring has other plans and it’s shooting me up into the sunlight and it is so hot and bright out here! 😎 or is that just perimenopause & introversion 😅 😓
